Neville “Roy” Singham, Chairman, ThoughtWorks, Inc.
With more than 20 years of technology and executive management experience, Roy is a globally renowned information technology thought leader. He has authored technology-related columns in various industry publications, and is a frequent speaker at technology conferences worldwide.
Roy has provided management services to clients in the insurance, mortgage, energy, leasing, retail and software development industries. He has also directed multi-million dollar projects at clients including Caterpillar Financial Services, Dixons Group, Progressive Insurance and Transamerica. Roy's management style combines comprehensive study of emerging technologies, the ability to build highly motivated teams, strong personal determination and innovative flair.
Cyndi Mitchell, Managing Director
Cyndi is the Managing Director of ThoughtWorks Studios where she has general management responsibility for global strategy, sales, marketing, business development, product engineering and customer success.
Cyndi is passionate about the potential for software to have a strategic impact on most organizations. She helps business and technology leaders around the world develop cultures and organizational practices that increase responsiveness and create competitive advantage through software.
Since she joined ThoughtWorks in 2002, Cyndi has served the company in a variety of roles including development, consulting and general management. Prior to leading ThoughtWorks Studios, Cyndi was Managing Director of ThoughtWorks UK. Cyndi has also served as a Senior Architect with Sun Microsystems in New York, Chicago, and London. She started her career with Andersen Consulting in Chicago.
Vidya Laxman, VP, Global Head of Operations
Vidya has over 15 years of professional experience spanning multiple industries - technology, banking and public sector. Her past roles have given her a rich and diverse mix of business development, strategic planning, project management and operational excellence in a global delivery model.
Prior to ThoughtWorks, Vidya spent 3 years at SunGard , as the Director & Head for the Public Sector in India, including the Local Govt, UK and K-12 market segments. She has demonstrated the ability to architect and operationalize initiatives. Before that, Vidya spent 12 years in the United States working for various software product companies (large and start-ups). Specific accomplishments include high performing, cross-functional, culturally diverse teams spread over 3 continents.
Vidya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer engineering from RVCE, Bangalore, and is pursuing a Masters in Computer Science Engineering from Boston University.
Adrian Jones, VP of Sales, Global
Adrian has responsibility for global sales, and delivering value to ThoughtWorks Studios customers. Having worked with customers in various industries, including financial services, telecommunications, technology, manufacturing, utilities, and government, Adrian contributes 25 years of enterprise software sales experience to ThoughtWorks Studios.
Prior to ThoughtWorks, Adrian had a successful sales track record at IBM, Oracle and database management specialist software vendors. He also worked in software development, and is experienced in approaches from the early structured methodologies to today’s mature Agile approaches. Adrian has a bachelor’s degree in German and Economics.
Adam Monago, VP of Sales, Americas
Adam is responsible for ThoughtWorks Studios field operations within the Americas, including pre-sales, sales and professional services. He was an active contributor to the development of the Mingle Agile Project Management solution and the ThoughtWorks Agile Training offering and actively contributes to enabling customer success within the ThoughtWorks Studios ecosystem.
Since 1996, Adam has been a champion for customer experience in both product and service design, having served in a wide range of roles in product development, consulting and management. Prior to joining ThoughtWorks, Adam held positions with Computer Sciences Corporation, Citigroup and Prentice Hall. Adam holds a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University, and an M.S. in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology. His
main interests include playing music, yoga, gardening and enjoying life in Northern California with his family
Nagarjun “Nag” Kandukuru, VP of Marketing
A specialist in marketing early-stage technology products, Nag is responsible for all messaging, branding and lead generation for ThoughtWorks Studios' suite of products. Having joined before ThoughtWorks Studios had its first customer, he has been instrumental in leading worldwide growth.
Prior to ThoughtWorks, Nag helped find and nurture markets for a variety of technologies, including email servers, handheld computers, and CRM software. Most recently, he helped position Talisma Corporation as the worldwide leader in Customer Interaction Management solutions. His 11-year high-tech career also includes work on the not-for-profit Simputer, a simple computer that aims to bridge the digital divide. Nag holds a B.Tech. degree from National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India and an M.B.A. in Marketing Communications from Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad.
John Guerierre, VP of Strategic Business Development
One of the first 20 employees of ThoughtWorks, John also served as Vice President of Marketing for VA Software’s SourceForge Enterprise Edition and as Vice President of Marketing for ThoughtWorks’ professional services organization, before joining ThoughtWorks Studios.
John has a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics and lives in South Carolina with his wife and 2 sons.
Chad Wathington, VP of Product Development
Chad is responsible for ensuring that ThoughtWorks Studios designs and delivers great products. As the Vice President of Product Development, he provides strategic vision and commercial direction.
Chad joined ThoughtWorks in 2004, after a stint in strategic consulting at the Boston Consulting Group. Before joining the product division, he led the internal change management effort for ThoughtWorks' U.S. business. Chad also has experience as a product manager, business analyst, quality assurance analyst, and project manager. He has worked in various software industry verticals including manufacturing, health care, financial services, and consumer services. Chad is a Caterpillar Corp.-trained Six Sigma Black Belt. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University.
David Rice, VP of Engineering
David drives the ThoughtWorks Studios technical vision and ensures that the teams deliver high-quality software. Despite reaching the theoretical age at which one becomes post-technical, he still actively codes for Studios. And as one of the founders of Studios, David continues to help drive product direction.
David has been with ThoughtWorks for 15 years, leading teams in the development of software of all shapes and sizes. He has built systems using COBOL/CICS, Forte, Java/J2EE, .NET, and Rails. He was a major contributor to Martin Fowler's 2002 classic work, Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture. He holds a degree in Latin and Ancient Greek from Brown University.
Marjorie O'Halloran, Global Head of People
As Global Head of People, Marjorie promotes a sustainable, collaborative, and dynamic work environment for ThoughtWorks Studios, with worldwide responsibility for strategic people planning, organization development, coaching and leadership development, and HR functions.
Marjorie has over 10 years of experience in human resource management in various sectors including retail, start-up, banking and transportation in firms such as FedEx and Radio Shack. She holds two graduate degrees- an MBA from the University of San Francisco’s Masagung Graduate School of Management, as well as a Master’s in Human Resource Organization Development, also from the University of San Francisco.
