Adding card comments

Card comments are freeform notes that you and your team members can attach to cards. They're designed to record discussions and explanations around the card. For example, comments can explain reasons why a developer fixed a bug a certain way, or provide clarification to a developer implementing a user story.

You can add card comments whenever you open a card. The card comments field is open and ready for you to type by default.

Hint: Comments aren't a substitute for talking to your team mates! Their main purpose is to contribute collective intelligence about the development process.

Note: You can't edit or delete card comments, either your own or from other team members.

How to add a comment to a card

1. Sign in to Mingle and open the project with the cards you want to update (if not already working in the project).
2. Locate the card you want to update.
   
   
3. Click on the card name to open it up for editing.
   
   
   Mingle displays the Comments component in edit mode ready for you to add a new comment. You can also see any other comments that team members have made against the card.
4. Type your comment and click the Add comment button.
   Mingle displays your new comment underneath the Add comment button and updates the card version.

If you're adding a card comment at the same time as you're editing the card's description, Mingle saves the comment when you click the Save link.
