Finding cards to work with
Introduction...
Whenever you're working within Mingle, you'll be working with cards relevant to your current task(s).
Mingle gives you several options for locating relevant cards
- Mingle's card filters
- favorites
- tabs
- History tab
- search
You may also find relevant cards from links in wiki pages, revision notes and other cards.
Mingle card filters
Mingle's card filters are located to the right of any list of cards and are the most common way to find the cards you need to work with. It is the starting place for creating favorites and tabs.
You can view the filtered cards in either as a Grid or a List (default). From here, you can save the card view so you and other team members can quickly access the list of cards (see Favorites below).
Favorites
If you or another team member has setup favorites, you can quickly display a list of relevant cards by selecting a favorite.
You can see a list of favorites by clicking the Favorites link to the right of a list of cards.
You can also save card views that are relevant to you at any time, and turn these into tabs if other team members will find them useful.
Tabs
The All tab comes with Mingle by default, and is the only default tab which displays cards. Other tabs (besides Overview, Source, History and Project admin) have been customized for your project from favorites. These custom tabs group cards according to common project needs, and so are a good place to search for relevant cards.
Search
Mingle's free text search is comprehensive and lets you locate any project artifact, including cards. If you remember the name of a card you were working with, or any part of the description, you can type it in Mingle's Search field at the top right of the page.
History tab
The History tab (in the top right of the Mingle screen) lets you view changes made to a project over a specific period of time (by default all changes made today). It includes a complete audit log of all project changes which you can filter according to the information you want to see. This lets you find cards that were updated during specific times, by specific people and for specific card properties/tags. See Viewing project changes (History tab) for details.
