Relationship properties
Introduction...
Relationship properties are references in a child card that link it to its ancestors in a card tree. Created and named as part of configuring a card tree, they appear on cards visually grouped under the name of the card tree they belong to.

Assigning a relationship property...
- In a card tree view - when you add a card to a tree by dragging it onto an existing parent card, the relationship properties are set automatically. You can also drag a child card from one parent to another and the relationship property will be modified to refer to the new parent.
- From a default value - you can assign a Card project variable as a default value for a relationship property. In this case the card will be automatically added to the relevant card tree on creation, and will have its parent set to the card assigned to the project variable at that time.
- As a property on a card - you can manually set a relationship property from the card view by clicking on it and selecting a new card reference from the displayed list. In this case only cards of the appropriate type which are already in the card tree will be able to be assigned.
Relationship properties can have a default value set from a project variable of type Card.
Removing a relationship property
The relationship properties for a card tree will be deleted from all cards if the tree itself is deleted. Likewise, if a card is removed from a tree, the relationship properties will be removed from that card.
