What you can do on this page
The Project settings page lets you change global settings for the current project, including
- Project name
- Project identifier
- Description
- Project time zone settings
- Project numeric precision
- Notification email address
- Project icon/logo
Basic settings
Project name
The project name will be displayed on the All projects page and in the header or tabs in your browser. Since these titles are often truncated in browser tabs, it makes sense to choose one that will clearly differentiate your project even if truncated.
Project identifier
Mingle automatically creates a default project identifier based on the name you type, however you can change the project identifier as required. The project identifier forms the URL from where you access the project, so if changing the identifier, you may need to update any bookmarks and communicate this information to your team. The Identifier must be all lower case, less than 30 characters, and you must represent any spaces with underscores.
The project identifier is used in the Mingle API, so if you are using the API and want to change the identifier you will have to amend all API references accordingly.
Description
The project description is displayed in the Current projects page. You can provide any additional context that a user might want to know about the project.
Advanced project settings
Project time settings
Choose the time zone that applies to your project from the list. This will determine what time zone is set on any dates that are stored in Mingle. The special value (today) in MQL, card defaults and formula properties will also be derived from the specified time zone.
Project numeric precision

This value determines the precision with which your numeric properties are stored and formula properties are calculated. Decreasing this value could change existing data, permanently losing precision from any numeric values which are stored with greater than the new number of decimal places.
Project email address
This is the email address from which any system generated emails will be sent. e.g. email notifications.
Project icon/logo
You can specify an image that will appear in the Current projects page next to the project name.
Team member checkbox
When the Mingle Admin is creating a project they can check this box if (as Mingle Admin) they want to be included as a team member on the project. Once the project has been created, unchecking or checking this box has no effect.
