Linking my external Murmurs to my Mingle user profile

As Murmurs from an external chat client will be made by your chat room login and not your Mingle login you can associate your Mingle profile to your Jabber profile.
  1. Go to your profile
  2. Input your Jabber username
  3. Save profile
  4. All your Murmurs will now show your Mingle display name and icon. On the Murmur tabs your Jabber user id will be associated with your Murmurs and your Mingle user icon will be shown. Murmurs made from inside and outside Mingle will look the same.

Suggested ways to start using Murmurs

  • If your team already uses a chat client to discuss requirements, tests, development you either connect your Murmurs to your existing chatroom and capture your chat in Mingle or create a new chat room via Mingle and capture your chat there.
  • If you team posts announcements to each other via email, try using Murmurs to make these announcements.
  • If you need to tell your team when you will be back in the office, why not Murmur it to so everyone on the team sees it.
  • If you created a great new wiki page, Murmur the name and the tab will automatically link to the page so that everyone can go directly to the information they want.
  • If you have finished a story and want to tell the time, Murmur a card number with your update and the team will easily be able to see your update and the information about the story.
