Card defaults
Introduction
You can specify default values for card properties for each card type.
When a new card is created, its properties will be pre-populated with the specified defaults.
Assigning card defaults
Navigate to the card defaults page
- Sign in to Mingle as a project administrator and open the project (if you're not already working in the project).

Click the Project admin tab.
Mingle displays the Project settings page.
if you are logged in as a project team member, Mingle displays the Team page.

Click the Card types link.
Mingle displays the Card types page with all card types setup for this project.

Click on the Edit defaults link next to the card type you want to set defaults for.

Card description
You can type in any text or markup that you want to have pre-populated into the card description. This can include tables and charts (and any other macros that can be used in wiki pages).
You can specify a default value for a property by clicking on the property name link and selecting a value.
Managed list properties
Managed list properties can be defaulted to (not set) or any valid item from the list.
Date properties
Date properties can be defaulted to either (not set) or (today). The latter will insert the date that the card is created into the property.
Team member properties
Team member properties can be defaulted to either (not set) or (current user). The latter will insert the user who created the card into the property.
Relationship properties
Relationship properties can be defaulted to (not set), or to any card of the appropriate type that is already a member of the corresponding card tree.
Click on the relationship property name link to bring up a selection dialog listing the available cards.
