Profile page
What you can do on this page
The Profile page lets you view and change details of your Mingle sign-in profile. From here you can view and change your email address, display name, version control user name and password.
If you want to view your Mingle project sign-in privileges visit Project admin tab > Team page. You must be a project administrator or Mingle administrator to change project privileges. If you are a Mingle administrator, you can view global user privileges from the Current projects page (first page after signing in).
Managing your user profile
Overview
Each Mingle user can manage their own user profile. You can change your:
- Sign-in name
- Display name
- Email address
- Jabber user name
- Version control user name
- User icon
- My favorites
- Project history subscriptions
- Password
If you want to view your Mingle project privileges visit the Project admin tab Team link. You must be a Project administrator or Mingle administrator to change project privileges. If you are a Mingle administrator, you can view global user privileges from the Current projects page (first page after signing in).
How to update you profile
View your profile
- Sign in to Mingle.

Click the Profile for... link at the top of the page.
Then you will be directed to your profile page.
Edit your profile details

Click the Edit profile link to edit your Sign-in name, Display name, Email address, Source control user name or User icon.
- Change your details and click the Save profile button.
Mingle opens this page for editing.
You can use +, ., -, @ and _ in your username.
Change password...
- Click the Change password link to change your password.
- Update your password and click the Change password button.
Mingle displays the Change password page.
Non-essential profile details
It is not essential that you enter all profile details such as Email address, Jabber user name, Version control user name and User icon.
- Email address - if added you will be able to subscribe to feeds to specified email address.
- Jabber user name - if added Mingle displays your correct name on the Murmurs tab when you Murmur via a Jabber chat room.
- Version control user name - if added Mingle displays your correct name on the Source tab.
- User icon - if added your personal icon will appear next to your name in some places in Mingle. If no icon is supplied a default will be used.
Managing email subscriptions
Users can manage their email subscriptions via their profile page. If you are a Mingle administrator, with access to users' profile pages, you will also be able to view and manage other users' subscriptions.
To view and to unsubscribe to email subscriptions:
- go to your profile page or the profile page of another user
- at the bottom of the profile page you will be able to see three tables of subscriptions. The first table shows subscriptions that were subscribed to via the history tab, the second shows card subscriptions and finally the last is a table of page subscriptions
- via these tables you will be able to see what subscriptions you have (or if you are a Mingle admin viewing another user's profile you will be able to see what subscriptions that user has)
- using the unsubscribe link you can unsubscribe to any subscriptions you no longer require
Managing my favorites
To view and to delete personal favorites:
- go to your profile page or the profile page of another user
- above the three tables of subscriptions there is a table of personal favorites
- via this table you will be able to see what personal favorites you have (or if you are a Mingle admin viewing another user's profile you will be able to see what favorites that user has)
- using the delete link you can delete any favorites you no longer require
