What you can do on this page
The card list page is Mingle's most used page. This is where you view and work with cards.
What can you do on the List view?
Filter cards
Create cards with Quick Add
Quick Add allows you to create a new card from any project page. The Quick Add button can be found on the bottom left of your browser window in the task tray.
The Quick Add button makes it easy to create cards with default values preset for the selected card type.
Using 'Add With Detail'
On the Quick Add popup you can also create a new card using 'Add with detail'. Upon clicking the 'Add with detail' button, you will be taken to the new card's edit page where you can make additional changes to the card (e.g. adding a description) before saving it to complete the card creation.
Update cards
There are two ways you can update cards within the List view
- individually, by clicking on a card. This lets you edit all details for a card including properties, description and tags.
- in bulk, by selecting the cards you want to update and then selecting the actions you want to perform. You can update card property values, delete cards, add or update tags, or apply a transition.
Add or remove columns
Within the List view, you can hide existing columns, or add columns for property values. Click the Add / remove columns link to update the columns that display.
Sort cards
The card list view can also be sorted to view the cards in a specific order. Simply add the column you wish to sort by and select the column header. Select the header again to toggle between ascending and descending sort order. To change the sort criteria select a new column header.
Link to this page
Each card view has a link called Link to this page. This is identical to the browser address (URL), but gives you a quick way to create links to the current card view. You can use these links to send to people via email or instant messaging (IM), or to place on a website, blog or Mingle wiki page. In Windows, right-click on this link to bring up options for copying or sending.
Print cards from the list view
Click on the 'Print' link from the card list view.
This will generate a .pdf file that contains all of cards from the current list view. Every page will contain two Mingle cards.
Each printed card includes
- card number
- card title
- card version information
- card description
- card properties
- tags
Please note the card description will be truncated. Plus any charts in the card description and properties which have a value of (not set) will not be printed.
Maximize the view
The card list view can be viewed in the maximized mode. This will allow for cleaner, more useful views when working with your Mingle cards.
Create favorites
If you've found a card List view that your team will use regularly, you can save this view. You can then turn this into a tab.
You can also create personal favorites from card list views.
